Rapid Access Clinics Low Back
Dr. Torrance served as an Advanced Practice Provider for the Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) Low Back program from 2019 to 2023. This OHIP-covered initiative allowed family doctors and nurse practitioners to refer patients with low back pain for comprehensive assessment and personalized care recommendations. The program focused on providing optimal care strategies, including self-management techniques, ergonomic education, and tailored rehabilitation plans. When necessary, Dr. Torrance recommended further investigations, such as advanced imaging, or specialist referrals. His expertise ensured patients received evidence-based care, emphasizing conservative management while appropriately triaging cases requiring advanced interventions or surgical referrals.
